Immature Female Rufous / Allen's Hummingbird - "Spirit". (Selasphorus Sp. R/A)
This one was FO 12/3/03 and has stayed with the adult all winter. These photos were taken in the front yard but she mostly hangs out in the back at her own feeder.

Spirit - Immature Rufous Hummer at feeder, looking a little neater than when she first arrived! Spirit molting, not too noticable in this photo but certainly through binoculars. Top of shoulder now has new green feathers. Still no change to her throat.)
